“This dark, violet red comes across as firm and gentle, aristocratic and generous. It’s bouquet consists of black cherries and plums in brandy, blackcurrant and blackberry jam, one may even discover hints of chocolate, nutmeg, liquorice and cinnamon. It’s intense and harmonious taste are going hand in hand with powerful acidity and fine tannins. A perfect match for traditional Puglia dishes such as stewed lamb (foto), gnocchi in lamb sauce, roasted kid leg ‘delle Murge’ , stewed ‘maialino nero’ with potatoes, stewed kidney or ventresca di tonno with tomatoes and capers.”
